Roger Thorp lives on a cliff top on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. While always writing film scripts and songs he has worked in the film industry as runner, music video producer (The Clash, Iggy Pop) and field producer/director for NGO’s (WWF, Greenpeace). He has made two feature films and recently begun to develop on his film-art practice, which is now the focus of his work. Often collaborating, he creates large-scale interactive immersive projections that combine new technologies with timeless imagery. His belief is that we should consider looking more closely at things by slowing down. He hopes to offer his audience the
opportunity to do this if only for a little while. RECENT EXHIBITIONS INCLUDE: 2013: The Dark Rooms, James Turrell Skyspace, STAGE (Cornwall Art Biennale), 2014. Solo show, Millennium
Gallery St Ives.
